Barbie Fowler-Steele-Reutzel, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at SOMC. She was born December 9th in Portsmouth to the late Virgil Fowler and Marjorie (Skaggs) Brock.
Barbie was a well-known photographer (Photographic Art) and businesswoman (Fowler’s Camera Shop). In addition to her love of photography, she was known for her cheesecakes at the St. Mary’s International Festivals, she also attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was a member of the choir.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Reutzel, son, Steve Reutzel (Kris) of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter, Krista Reutzel (Ralph) of Athens, OH and brother, Virgil Skaggs, of Woodstock, NY, as well as three grandchildren, Maggie Reutzel, Logan Reutzel, and Fisher Reutzel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth with Rev. Patrick Watikha officiating, burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
