Betty Jo Coldiron, 69, of Sciotoville, died Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Rosemount Pavillon in Portsmouth. She was born June 24, 1952 in Portsmouth, to the late Lloyd and Lillie (Flake) Cummings. She was of the Baptist faith and worked formerly at the Portsmouth News Agency.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerri Coldiron, and her siblings; Olive Veach, Leona Snyder, Nora Riggs, Lorraine Stonerock, Willard Cummings, Jerry Cummings, and Terry Lee Cummings.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Tim Coldiron (Angi) of Wheelersburg, and Jason Bishop (Becky Bates) of Portsmouth, four brothers, Lloyd Cummings Jr. (Debroah) of Sciotoville, Mike Cummings (Terri) of West Portsmouth, Dave Cummings of Lucasville, and Paul Cummings of West Portsmouth, a sister-in-law, Joyce Cummings, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Timothy, Jennica, Jamie, Reese, Jason, and Sunnie, and a great-grandchild, LeNora.
Memorial Services will be 6:00 P.M. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. A visitation for friends and family will be on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at 6:00 P.M.
