Betty Ann Leightenheimer

Betty Ann Leightenheimer, 75, of Portsmouth, died Monday, July 11, 2022 at Posemount Pavillion.  She was born August 29, 1946 in Portsmouth to the late Harold and Betty (Haws) Leightenheimer.

Betty graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1965, she was an avid reader, enjoyed playing board games and cards with her family.  She faithfully donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.

Betty is survived by a sister, Debra Moore, and a brother, Joe Leightenheimer, both of Portsmouth, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2022 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Pastor Larry Moore officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
