Billy Edward Fannin, 75, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Rosemount Pavilion. He was born November 9, 1946, in Scioto Furnace to the late Asa Fannin and Juanita (Monk) Fannin Peters.
Billy was in the United States Navy Reserve and worked in auto repair.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Fannin, a brother, Jim Fannin, two sisters, Bonnie Green and Carolyn Sue Fannin, his stepchildren, Brenda Chamblin and Michael Pollard, and a granddaughter, Tiffany Moore,
Billy is survived by his wife, Carol Chamblin Fannin of Rosemount, his children; Aaron Fannin (Leslie), Crystal Short (Jimmy), and Kendra Blevins, 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Steve Fannin (Deborah), Dan Fannin (Liza), Marvin Fannin (Lan), Ramona Jarrell, and Margaret Dulaney (Richard).
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Burial will follow Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. A visitation for friends and family will be on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M.
