Brenda Kay Haws, 63, of Wheelersburg, died Saturday, June 5, 2021 at her home. She was born November 25, 1957 in Russell Springs, KY to the late Olen and Mae (Branscum) Withers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Dennis Withers, a nephew, Brandon Gilliam, and two brothers-in-law, Rick Gilliam and Robert Haws.
She was a former business owner and fitness trainer, but the title she treasured the most was Grandma Brenda.
Brenda was a loving, kind, and generous wife, mother, and friend. Someone who was always looking to help others. She deeply loved her family with her whole heart and soul, including all of her beautiful extended families; cousins, uncles, aunts, and her sweet Clay High School girlfriends. She loved everyone “to the moon and back”
Brenda is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Jeffrey Haws, whom she married on March 27, 1978, two daughters; Karly Robinson (Russell) of Columbus, and Sara Spille (Tom) of Cincinnati, a brother, Michael Withers (Belinda) of Lexington, South Carolina, a sister, Sandy Gilliam of Eden Park, a brother-in-law, Ronald Haws (Barbara) of Columbus, a niece, Lindsay Gilliam, and two nephews, Ralph Warnock and Jesse (Kristen) Haws.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything in this entire world, Kajea, Taylor, Bailey, and Jeffery.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Wes Bottoms officiating. Burial will follow at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott. A visitation for friends and family will be on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and again one hour before the service on Thursday.
