Brenda Yvonne (Sexton) Monroe

Brenda Yvonne (Sexton) Monroe, 65, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at SOMC surrounded by her children. 

Brenda was born January 30, 1957, in Portsmouth, to the late Ralph and Juanita (Groce) Sexton.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by four brothers; Brian Sexton, Michael Sexton, David Lavey, and Joe Grooms, as well as four sisters; Sharon Fraley, Renee Stone, Mary Sexton, and Judith Grooms.

Brenda is survived by two daughters, Christy (Robert) Fisher of Portsmouth, Melody Sexton of New Boston, son, Mark (Deana) Scaff of Wheelersburg, seven grandchildren; Alexandria, Bryan, Kyle, Kaylee, Ireland, London, Blake, and two great grandchildren, Addison, and Elijah as well as her loving companion of 33 years, Carl Webb.  She is also survived by a sister, Sandra Middleton of Portsmouth, a brother, Bill Lavey of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
