Carol A. (Chamblin) Fannin

Carol A. Fannin, 72, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Rosemount Pavilion.  She was born October 14, 1950, in Minford to the late Chester R. and Doris (Burnheimer) Chamblin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Billy Fannin, son, Michael Pollard, daughter, Brenda Chamblin, stepson, Tony Fannin, and granddaughter, Tiffani Moore.

Carol loved music, she liked to cook, and she liked gardening, she also loved driving a car and taking long Sunday afternoon drives; but most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by daughter, Crystal Short (Jimmy) of Moncks Corner, SC, son, Danny Chamblin, of Tennessee, stepson, Aaron Fannin, of New Boston, stepdaughter, Kendra Ramirez, of Hamilton, OH, along with twelve grandchildren, and nine, great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, October 31, 2022, at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Dennis Dawes officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Franklin Furnace, OH.  A visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 PM until time of service on Monday.
