Catherine R. (Gleason) Dubiel

Catherine R. (Gleason) Dubiel, 71, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021. She was born April 9, 1950 in Portsmouth to the late Murray and Hilda (Furst) Gleason.

Catherine was a veteran of the United States Air Force and loved all of her family dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Russell and Walter Gleason, and a sister, Hilda Elaine Magargle.

She is survived by her two sons, John P. Dubiel (Tina) of West Portsmouth and Mark A. Dubiel (Christie) of Pomeroy, five brothers; Richard Gleason of Grove City, David Gleason (Candy) of Lucasville, Michael Gleason (Lois) of Rosemount, Jimmy Gleason of West Portsmouth, and John Gleason (Lisa) of West Portsmouth, two sisters, Grace Lane of Endicott, NY and Dori Sundberg (Neal) of Palmyra, VA.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 10, 2021 at Worley’s Run Cemetery in West Portsmouth, where military rites will be provided by the American Legion, James Dickey Post #23. Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home.
