Charles Edward Damron, 90, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born January 2, 1931 in Portsmouth, to the late Mose and Mary Louise (Morrison) Damron. Ed served in the Army during the Korean War, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and sang in the choir, he was retired from the Oberling Motor Company.
He is survived by his sister, Helen Damron, and a special friend, Nancy Call, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Watikha officiating. Burial will follow at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Face masks will be required, but not provided, while inside the funeral home.
