Chester M Porter II

Chester M. Porter II, 56, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, June 17, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. He was born November 23, 1966 in Portsmouth, to the late Chester and Barbara (Gray) Porter. He was a member of the American Legion Post #471 American Legion Riders, worked at Autozone in Portsmouth for over 20 years, and was a muscle car and motorcycle enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Porter, a sister, Shari Mayfield, and a brother-in-law, Estel “Jr” Mayfield.

Chester is survived by his four brothers, Ed Porter (Lois) of South Shore, KY, Tim Porter (Beth) of Wheelersburg, Mike Porter (Ann) of Sciotoville, and Matt Porter of Portsmouth, a sister-in-law, Joann Porter of Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
