Christopher Sainopulos, 50, of Clarksburg, formerly of Lucasville, died Wednesday, October 20, 2021. He was born April 5, 1971 in Portsmouth to Mary Ann (Waddell) Sainopulos and the late Charles Danaus Sainopulos.
He was a graduate of Valley High School in Lucasville and worked as a Consultant Technology Engineer at Nationwide Insurance Company in Columbus, where he had worked since 2005.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Charlie Sainopulos and Alfred Waddell, and his uncle Mike Waddell and his aunt Sylvia Darst.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Sainopulos (Wayne Thompson) of Piketon, a brother Matthew Sainopulos of Jersey City, New Jersey, a niece, Samantha Sainopulos, and his grandmother, Elin Waddell of Portsmouth. He is also survived by his aunts, Tina Thomas of Manassas, VA, Debbie Waddell of Amanda, OH and Nicole Potts (Greg) of Portsmouth, his uncles; Arthur Waddell of Franklin Furnace, Robert Waddell of West Portsmouth, John Waddell of Franklin Furnace, and Vernon Waddell of San Antonio, TX and 17 cousins.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 25, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Pastor Scott Rawlings officiating. Burial will follow at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott.
A visitation for friends and family will be on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home, and again one hour before the service on Monday.
