Daniel Ryan Blankenship passed away peacefully in his home May 29th, 2026.
Daniel was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose unforgettable personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He lived life on his own terms with passion and intensity, a quick wit, generous heart and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
Born on November 6, 1978, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Daniel was the son of the late David Blankenship and Mary Kay Blankenship Marshall. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Kay Marshall (John); his brothers, David Blankenship, Joseph Blankenship (Angie), and Andrew Blankenship (Ange); his niece, Kacy Pezzott (Vince); his niece Avery Blankenship; and his nephews David Blankenship and AJ Blankenship, all of whom he loved dearly.
Daniel graduated valedictorian from Wheelersburg High School and earned business degrees with honors from The Ohio State University. He built a successful career in pharmaceutical sales and real estate ventures, combining his business acumen with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Daniel was passionate about powerlifting and his beloved dogs, who brought him tremendous joy. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Wheelersburg, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth, Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home.
