Deborah Perez Obituary

Deborah Kay Perez, 65, of Portsmouth, died Friday, November 5, 2021 at SOMC Hospice. She was born September 19, 1956 in Portsmouth, to the late Theodore and Helen (Keibler) Tipton .

Debby worked at U.S.E.C. for almost 33 years and retired as a Lab Director. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also liked to attend New Beginnings Outreach Ministries. She loved to bake, even being known for how wonderful her icings, cookies, and cupcakes were. She loved to travel and spending time with her grandchildren. Above all, she loved God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Tipton.

Debby is survived by her two children; Alex Perez (Kayla) of Portsmouth and Portia Spradlin (Tyler) of Rosemount, a brother, Rusty Tipton (Karen) of Portsmouth, and her six grandchildren; Blair Spradlin, Jagger Perez, Kent Spradlin, Quinn Spradlin, Theo Perez, and Paige Spradlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth with Rev. David Glockner officiating. Burial will follow in South Webster Cemetery in South Webster.

A visitation for friends and family will be on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth in Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Debby to SOMC Hospice.
