Deborah “Debbie” Piguet, 64, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the James Cancer Center at Ohio State University in Columbus. She was born July 28, 1959 in Portsmouth, to the late William, and Martha (Howell) Gray. Debbie worked for many years in New Boston at Blackburn’s Grocery Store as a clerk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alva Yazell, and two sisters, Irena Blythe and Nancy Kennedy.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Larry Piguet, three daughters, Tina Deerfield of Franklin Furnace, Chasitity Paine (Gary) of Pickerington, and Betty Jackson (Aaron) of Sciotoville, a brother, Bill Gray (Kathy) of Manchester, and a brother-in-law, John Kennedy. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; Nicholas, Justin (HaLeigh), Jada, Taylah, Madison (Jo), Ethan, Graden, and Keagan, and three-great-grandchildren; Leo, Cameron, and DaLilah.
Memorial services will be 5:00 P.M. on Thursday June 6, 2024 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Pastor Pete Pain officiating. A visitation for friends and family will be on Thursday starting at 3:00 P.M.
