Donald Lee Boots

Donald Lee Boots, 68, of Portsmouth, died Friday, April 7, 2023 at his home. He was born March 3, 1955 in Portsmouth, to the late James and Helen (Davis) Boots.

Donnie is a retired Commercial Window cleaner. He loved the outdoors and anything that nature had to offer, including fishing. He loved to drink a few cold ones with friends and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Boots, a sister, Connie Boots, a niece, Dana Ray Bertram, and a nephew, Sylus James Boots.

He is survived by his two grandsons, Jeremiah Scott (Freedom) and Maeson Scott, four great-grandchildren, Rebel, Milann, Legend, and Sparrow, his siblings, Jim Boots, Billie Jo Brown (Greg), Patty Boots, Donna Kay, and Lawanda Bender. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Bobbie Jo Milbrant, Shae Piatt, Jody Hampton, Brandy Bittinger (EJ), Megan Hall (Bryce), Travis Boots, Michael Shane Boots (Megan), Kylee Jenkins, Gage Jenkins, and many extended nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. A visitation for friends and family will be on Sunday, beginning at 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
