Elizabeth Grundy

Elizabeth Grundy, 89, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Bridgeport Health Care Center.  She was born February 12, 1933, in Rhinelander, WI to the late Theodore and Isabel (Strike) Shelbrack.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Grundy, son, Peter Grundy, sisters, Mary Gulbins, and Jo Stafford.

Elizabeth is survived by a son, Paul Grundy, grandson, Justin Grundy, both of West Portsmouth, granddaughter, Jessica Brandt, of Tucson, AZ, three great-grandchildren: Casey, Caylie, and Catlyn Brandt, a brother, Ted Shelbrack, of Appleton, WI, and a sister, Alice Polansky, of Waukesha, WI.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, burial will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.  A visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
