Georgene "GG" (July) Troncone

Georgene “GG” Troncone, 99, of Portsmouth, died Monday February 1, 2021 at Hillview Retirement Center in Portsmouth. She was born September 22, 1921 in Portsmouth, to the late George and Helen (McManaway) July. Georgene was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, St. Joseph Monastery Women’s Club, she worked in the Payroll Department at Williams and in the office at Shaefer’s Supermarket.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Troncone, who died on February 18, 1998, a grandson, Joey Troncone, a daughter-in-law, Janet Troncone, and her siblings, Rose Henson and Bernard July.

“GG” is survived by her two children, Charles Troncone (Brenda Zimmerman) of Piketon and Ann Kempf (Wayne) of Portsmouth, five grandchildren; Stephanie Patmore (Geoff), Matthew Kempf (Dusty), Jennifer Fitzpatrick (Eric), Beth Hale, Meka Chapman, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Rev. Joseph Yokum officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth. A visitation for friends and family will be on Friday, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
