Harold Briggs Obituary

Harold Eugene Briggs, 74, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his home. He was born March 24, 1946 in Portsmouth to the late Sherman and Dixie (Day) Briggs. Harold worked for R C Cola, enjoyed painting, riding motorcycles, shooting pool, and trading in antiques.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant twin brothers, Larry and Gary.

He is survived by his wife, Kathi Briggs, his children; Harold Briggs Jr., Timothy Briggs (Keri), Andy Briggs, and Christina Lockhart (Tony), a step-daughter, Stephanie Hernandez, his siblings; Permy, Toni, and Wanda. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Tony Lockhart Jr., Dawson Briggs, Brittany Briggs, Hayleigh Briggs, step-grandchildren; Ava and Jadyn Hernandez, and his great-grandchildren; Ellias, Nevaeh, and Aiden.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
