Helen L Eckart

Helen L. Eckart, 96, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Portsmouth Health & Rehabilitation.  She was born May 1, 1925 in Portsmouth to the late John and Nellie (Rickett) Riley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Eckart, three brothers; James Riley, Esham Riley, and Ora Riley, as well as two sisters; Ethel Hicks, and Florence Ward.

Helen was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, she worked several years as a secretary for Dr. Kendall Stewart.  She is survived by a brother, Carl Riley, of Portsmouth.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, OH.
