James Albert Meade

James Albert Meade, 50, of Stout, died Monday, April 14, 2025 at SOMC. He was born April 5, 1975 in Cleveland, to the late Howard Gene and Jessie (Jones) Meade. 

James was a huge Batman fan, loved to watch wrestling and to play his guitar. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Alice Jean Meade. 

He is survived by his long time girlfriend, Tawna Jarvis of Stout, two step-daughters, Mandy Parker (Thomas Sheppard) of Portsmouth and Maria Pack (Russell) of Stout, two brothers, Howard Gene Meade Jr. (Sandra) of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Steven Wayne Meade (Fatima) of California, three sisters, Karen Pearon (Joel) of Galloway, OH, Genia Cunningham (John) of Portsmouth, and Ruth Meade (Brian Dawson) of Clarktown, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend who was like a brother, Thomas Beamesderfer of Chicago, IL. 

Funeral services will be announced at a later date, with Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth assisting the family with the arrangements.
