Jason Michael Harris

Jason Michael Harris, 43, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, December 12, 2024 at SOMC, after fighting his lifelong battle of Muscular Dystrophy. He was born August 30, 1981 in Portsmouth, to Jennifer (Harris) Jackson.

Jason was a brilliant mind and a wonderful artist. He loved creating his masterpieces with his 3D printer.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Judy Harris, three aunts, Pam Bolind, Lainey Harris, and Trish Carr, and a cousin, Nick Harris.

In addition to his mother, Jenny Jackson of Portsmouth, he is survived by his sister, Lesia Skaggs of Portsmouth, best friend and cousin, Misty Carr of Portsmouth, four uncles, Steve Harris of Minford, Mike Harris, Rob Harris, And Michael Patterson, all of Portsmouth, two aunts, Debbie Daniel and Emily Lansing of Portsmouth, numerous cousins, several of which were very close with Jason. He is also survived by his three nephews, Kaden, Kiandre, and Kason and one niece, Kaliyah.

A Memorial service will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Dr. Gregory Hudson officiating. A visitation for friends and relatives will be on Tuesday, from 4:00 P.M. until the start of service at 6:00 P.M.
