Jeffery Lee Steward

Jeffery Lee Steward, 57, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at SOMC Hospice, with his family by his side. He was born April 23, 1966 in Columbus, he was the son of John Steward of Wheelersburg and the late Wanda Howard Steward.

Jeff was a 1985 graduate of Portsmouth High School and was a self-employed landscaper, who took pride in his work.

In addition to his father, Jeff is survived by his two children, Erica Shively (Gabriel) of Columbus and Anthony Ellis of Columbus, three brothers, James Steward Sr., of Summerville, S.C., Kristopher Steward (Kriseana) of Wheelersburg, and Nakia “T.J.” Steward (Kristy) of Wheelersburg, two sisters, Bridgett Steward of Raleigh, N.C., and Wanika Steward of Wheelersburg. Jeff is also survived by his three grandchildren, Lorenzo, Giuseppe, and Matteo.

A visitation for friends and family will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1:00 P.M.to 3:00 P.M. at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, where a Celebration of Life will follow.
