Jeremy Joseph Rush, 44, of Portsmouth, died Monday, June 27, 2022 at O.S.U. Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born September 3, 1977 in Portsmouth, to Kathy (Coburn) Rush and the late Tim Rush.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, William E. Rush and his grandparents, Frank and Rosaleen Coburn.
Jeremy was a 1996 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a graduate of Shawnee State University/Occupational Therapy program and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and University of Notre Dame fan.
Besides his mother, Kathy Rush of West Portsmouth, Jeremy is survived by his sister, Beth Ellen Baker (Bill) of Delaware, OH, two nephews, Graham and Rhett Baker, his grandmother, Mary Louise Rush of Portsmouth, his dear friend, Steven Addis of Portsmouth and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 P.M. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth, with Rev. Brian Beal officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
A visitation for friends and family will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, where a Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 7:30 P.M.
