Jerome "Jerry" Conkle

Jerome “Jerry” Conkle, 71, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg.  He was born May 13, 1949 in Portsmouth, to the late Albert and Clara (Malone) Conkle.

Jerry is survived by his children; son, Kevin Conkle of Portsmouth, and daughter, Keri (Kevin) Baker of South Portsmouth, KY., grandchildren; Awndria Baker and fiancé Rizart Stafa of Nashville, TN., Hayden Baker and Shelby Baker, both of South Portsmouth, KY.,  sisters; Barbara Clonch, Mary Sue Conkle, Jeanne Arbogast and Marian Stover, as well as his special companion, Lucy, his dog.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth with Rev. Gary Heimbach officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry’s honor to SOMC Hospice, Cedar Street Christian Church in New Boston, or Sierra’s Haven.

Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
