Joseph M Schwamberger

Joseph M. Schwamberger, 65, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at SOMC Hospice.  He was born on January 16, 1955 in Portsmouth to the late Louis Schwamberger and Theresa (Francia) Schwamberger. 

Joe graduated from Notre Dame High School, class of 1973 and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.  He worked at Nancy Rae’s, Market Place, and Ashland Oil in their Super America division.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Boston Schwamberger.  He is survived by his wife, Christy (Hardin) Schwamberger, two sons; Joseph Ryan Schwamberger (Malissa), of Southaven, Mississippi, Dustin Schwamberger (Kiesha), of Wheelersburg, a daughter, Rebecca Schwamberger, of Kenova, WV, five grandchildren; Jaylen, Oliver, Liam, Braliegh, and Remington, a  sister, Peggy Butler, of Wheelersburg, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held at a later date.

 Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
