Joyce Anne (Delabar) Craig

Joyce Ann (Delabar) Craig, 89, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, February 8,2024 at SOMC. She was born May 16, 1934 in Portsmouth, to the late Charles and Norma (Woods) Delabar.

Joyce was a 1952 graduate of Holy Redeemer High School and later that year, October 4th, she married her sweetheart, the late Billy Craig, who died on May 18, 2015.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Wiseman and a son-in-law, Tom King.

She is survived by a son, Scott Craig (Kandi) of Portsmouth, two daughters, Kim King of Portsmouth and Rhonda Miller (John) of Delaware, OH, six grandchildren, Weston Craig, Leah Craig, Kendra Wittenburg, Nicole La Sota (Rob), Craig King, and Chris King, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Michael Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. A visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday morning at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:45 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Joyce to Notre High School.
