Joyce Ann (Walls) Logan

Joyce Ann (Walls) Logan, 84, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at her home. She was born September 9, 1936 in Portsmouth, to the late Orville and Virgie (Fields) Walls.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene for over 65 years. She taught a Sunday School class for the handicap adults. Joyce retired from Scioto Residential Services where she worked as a night aide. Joyce cherished her family and built her world around her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Logan, a daughter, Sandy Bailey, a grandson, Josh Kegley, and her siblings; Bill Walls, Lorraine Vest, and Carol Kegley.

Joyce is survived by her three sons; Timothy Roger Logan of Portsmouth, Jerry Mark Logan (Marilyn) of Portsmouth, and Jonathan Logan (Jill) of Stockdale, two daughters; Lee Ann Kegley (Tony) of Portsmouth and Bronna Lesan Davis (Shane) of Portsmouth, a brother, Mike Walls of Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Melissa, Lindsay, Jimmy, Tara Joyce, Jacob, Chance, Chasten, Haleigh, Cole, and three that she helped raise as if they were her own, Jason (Grace), Chelsea (Brandon), and Mallory.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Jimmy Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.

A visitation for friends and family will be on Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.at the funeral home and again, one hour before the service on Saturday.
