Judith T Tipman

Judith T. Tipman, 70, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at SOMC.  She was born June 6, 1952, in Chicago, IL to the late Peter and Stella (Gruszczynski) Zawila.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a son, Peter Tipman, a daughter, Dawn Tipman, a brother, Peter Zawila, and a grandson, Robert Tipman, IV.

Judy loved playing Bingo, and she loved her animals, especially her Pugs.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Tipman, Jr., two sons, Robert Tipman, III (Ina White) of New Boston, and Joseph Tipman (Angel) of Lucasville, seven grandchildren; Brandon Lute (Kari), Andrea Smith, Angelina Wright, Rusty Tackett (Bronte), Cateresa Rowe (Matt), Alicia White, and Nicole Tipman, as well as 22 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Jim Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.  A visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service.
