Linda Mae Kingrey-Smith, 77, of Lucasville died Monday night December 15th in her home. Born on May 6th, 1943 in Cedar Mills, Ohio she was a daughter of Vesta Inez (Payne) Kingrey and Charles Edward Kingrey.
Linda was a graduate of Valley High school Class of 1962 and also graduated from Shawnee State University Class of 1979. She retired from the United States Enrichment Corp (USEC). She was also a proud member of the Lucasville Order of the Eastern Star as well as the Joseph Spencer Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 25 years.
Talented with crochet, Linda donated hundreds of Afghans to the local VA as a part of one of the many acts of community service she was passionate about - particularly for our veterans. She spread her love by cooking and enjoyed, above anything, spending time with her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother Vesta Inez Payne-Kingrey and father Charles Kingrey; her brothers Thomas N. Kingrey and Donald L. Kingrey and her sister Patricia Kingrey-Clark.
Surviving are her daughters Lisa Smith-Gonzalez / Rocky Rose of Lucasville OH and Leanne Granus / Brian Dressler of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania; her sister, Janet (Tom) Martin of Minford; five grand-children Jake Granus and Andrew Granus of Pennsylvania, Philip Gonzalez and Antonio Gonzalez of Lucasville Ohio and Bethany (Carlton) Bryant of Dallas, Texas; and her two great grandchildren Elijah Gonzalez and Harmony Bryant.
