Mary Elizabeth Goldcamp

Mary Elizabeth Goldcamp, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Meisel) Goldcamp.  Mary was the cherished cousin of Nancy Blaha (John), Carolyn Bryan (Bob), Cindy Burns, Jeffrey Burns, and Chris Burns (deceased).  She loved many things – books about angels and saints, tapioca pudding, cats, and above all her weekly pizzas!  Mary will be remembered for always having a smile, and she never left your company without saying God bless you.  

Mary was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved attending services and was appreciative of those that brought her communion in recent years.  

She enjoyed life at the Courtyard in Wheelersburg.  A special thank you to the staff there, and to Buckeye Hospice, who showed Mary such good care in recent weeks.  

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 15, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Michael Fulton officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held at church one hour before beginning at 12:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Portsmouth, Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.

May the light of God shine upon her in her final journey. . .  Rest in peace.
