Mary Kathleen (Yerardi) Leonard

Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Leonard, 77, of New Boston, died Monday, September 20, 2021 at SOMC.  She was born July 20, 1944 in Portsmouth to the late Angeline Yerardi.

Kathy had worked as a nurse’s aide at Mercy Hospital and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Michael Leonard.

Kathy is survived by a son, Michael “Dusty” Leonard, of New Boston, and a daughter, Angela Tackett, of Latham, five grandchildren; Abbie Tackett, Kristen Hryckewycz, Caden Leonard, Alyssa Leonard, Brooke Leonard, and a great-grandchild, Drue Hryckewycz.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Dennis Dawes officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
