Michael Owen Lute

Michael Owen Lute, 62, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at SOMC.  He was born July 2, 1960, in Portsmouth to the late Fred and Florence (Crabtree) Lute.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Brett Lute, and daughter, Marilyn Lute, and two brothers, Steve Lute, and Gary Lute.

Michael loved his family, he loved to sing, and was very artistic.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bates) Lute whom he married March 27, 1981.  He is also survived by a daughter, Lynnsi Colley (Jamie) of Portsmouth, siblings; Brian Lute, Kevin Lute, Debbie Crabtree, and Angie Lute, all of McDermott, a brother-in-law, David Bates (Phyllis) of Grove City, as well as seven grandchildren; Marilyn, Emma, Everett, Shawn, Zach, Alexis, and Braxton.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
