Michelle (Miranda) Nees

Michelle Miranda Nees, 60, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. She was born July 15, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA to Louis Miranda of Puerto Rico and the late Anna Mazzucca of Italy.

Michelle was a proud Christian and attended New Life Bible Church in Worthington, KY. She was an avid sports fan, loving all of her Philly teams. Her crowning accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Nees Sr., a brother, Louis Miranda Jr., and two sisters, Anna Burns and Antonette Fink.

Michelle is survived by her three children, a son, David Nees Jr. (Barb) of Wheelersburg, two daughters, Anna Deverell (Robert) of Medford, New Jersey and Amanda Murray of Portsmouth, her companion, Bob Tipman of Portsmouth, her father, Louis Miranda of Puerto Rico, two brothers, Joseph Cruz (Judy) of Berlin New Jersey and Carlos Miranda of Orlando, FL, a sister, Janelle Miranda of Puerto Rico, her mother-in-law, Evelyn Nees of Berlin, NJ. She is also survived by nine grandchildren that she thought the world of, Alysa, Layla, LilyAnna, Brody, Samuel, Finn, Ameilya, Emalyn, and Brooks.

A memorial service will be 5:30 P.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at New Life Bible Church, 916 Eastern Ave., Worthington, KY 41183. Melcher Hammer Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
