Nellie Myrtle (Madden) Price

Nellie Myrtle Price, 80, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Kettering Health Network Emergency in Franklin, Ohio. She was born January 20, 1941 in Portsmouth, to the late John and Goldie (Tucker) Madden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson Price, two sons, William J. Price Jr. and Jeffrey Price, a daughter, Evelyn McLean, and her siblings; Elizabeth, Myrtle, Alice, Evelyn, and Carl.

Nellie is survived by two sons, Robert Price and David Price, both of Portsmouth, a daughter, Goldie Lawson of Franklin, a brother, John Madden of Minford. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Burial will follow at Mershon Cemetery in Union Township.

A visitation for friends and family will be on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until the service at 2:00 P.M.
