Rodney Lee Whisman

Rodney Lee Whisman, 59, of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, April 4, 2021 at SOMC.  He was born May 27, 1961 in Portsmouth to Junie (Caldwell) Whisman of Wheelersburg, and the late Ronald Whisman.

Rodney worked as a Union Laborer, loved fishing, carpentry, going to flea markets, and helping others.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two special aunts; Granny Ruth and Doris.

Rodney is survived by son, Justin Whisman (Sarah) of New Boston, daughters; Courtney Burton (Brandon), and Chastity McDaniel (Chris), both of Wheelersburg, brothers; Scott Whisman (Paula) of Rosemount, Paul Whisman (Michelle) of Hebron, and sister, Rhoda Whisman of Wheelersburg, six grandchildren; Eli, Peyton, Malaki, Payton, Colton, and Brayden, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home with Pastor Jared Timberlake officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will begin at 4:00 PM prior to the service.
