Sandra Sue (Haney) Flanagan

Sandra Sue (Haney) Flanagan called Sandy by friends and Dee Dee by family members, 67, of Lucasville, died Thursday, March 30, 2023 at O.S.U. Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was born November 28, 1955 in Portsmouth, to the late E.F. (Jack) Haney and Suzanne (Miller) Hayslip of Dublin, Ohio.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jessie Cooper.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Carl Flanagan, two sons, Jeremy D. Hamm Flanagan (Angela) of Piketon, and Joseph E. Flanagan of Lucasville, two daughters, Robyn L. Cooper (Henry Tackett) of Waverly and Ruth R. Brown (Andy) of Wheelersburg, a brother, Robert “Danny” Haney (Nanette) of Portsmouth, and a sister, Brenda Stewart (Mike) of Portsmouth. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pond Creek. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

A Mercy Meal will be provided by the church at Holy Trinity Activity Center after the burial of Sandy for her family and friends.
