Sharon Kay (Meenach) Moore

Sharon Kay (Meenach) Moore, 81, of Gulf Breeze, FL, died Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born September 9, 1941 in Portsmouth, to the late Marvin and Dorothy (Pertuset) Meenach.

Sharon was a retired schoolteacher at Northwest Schools, where she implemented the junior high girls high school track program. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for several years.

She is survived by her two children, a son, Jeff Moore and daughter, Kelly Ormeroid (Josh), all of Gulf Breeze, FL, two brothers, Fred Meenach (Linda) of FL and Sonny Meenach (Rhea) of Peebles, OH, a sister, Penny Emnett (Gene) of Lucasville, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor John Gowdy officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. A visitation for friends and family will be on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, one hour before the service.
