Tamen Briar King

Tamen Briar King, three month old boy, died Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Portsmouth. He was born November 5, 2023 in Portsmouth, to Lucas King and Kristen Vassar.

Tamen was preceded in death by an uncle, Jeramiah Coronado, his great-grandparents, Sherry Vasser, Garrett and Eiline King, Ronald and Glenda Neace.

Tamen is survived by his father, Lucas King (Roxana Rumfield) of Portsmouth, mother, Kristen Vasser of Portsmouth, grandparents, Dennis King of Lucasville, Sherry King of Portsmouth, Phil Vasser Jr., of Portsmouth, and Melissa Vasser of Lucasville, his uncles; Jonathan Coronado of Georgia, Levi King of Lucasville, Skylar Vasser of Portsmouth, aunts; Kashawna Neace of New Boston, Lara King (Sky Bentley) of Portsmouth, Cirrus Vasser (Eric Stiltner) of Sciotoville, Katlyn Slark (Steven Parsons) of Franklin Furnace, and Kimberly Smith of New Boston, great grandfather, Phil Vasser Sr., of Portsmouth and numerous cousins and family friends. He is also survived by his Godparents, Mark Walk of Minford and Kaylynn Nunley of West Portsmouth.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. A visitation for friends and family will be on Wednesday, one hour before the service.
