Virginia "Susie" Lee (Hall) Evans

Virginia Lee “Susie” Evans, 80, of Wheelersburg, died Friday February 9, 2024 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born May 30, 1943 in Portsmouth, to the late Eli and Mary Ellen (Neeley) Hall. She worked as a Housekeeper for Hillview Nursing for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Mike Evans, a daughter, Terry Adams, a son, James Worthington, two brothers, William Hall and Pete Hall, and two sisters, Mary Ward and Eddie Capo.

Susie is survived by her two children, Shannon Worthington (Beth) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Kelly Coppock (David) of Portsmouth, a daughter-in-law, Tonya Worthington of West Portsmouth, and a brother-in-law, John Capo. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
