Walter “Skip” Pennington, 57, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at SOMC. He was born October 13, 1963, in Portsmouth, to the late Walter Sowords and Juanita (Pennington) Priddy.
Skip worked at SOMC in housekeeping, he loved to bowl, was a Reds, Bengals, and Buckeye fan and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Tori Pennington (Jacob Adams) of Lucasville, “Me Lady” Amy Jo, “Momma” Sandy Smith, a special cousin, Becky Conschafsky, the Saddler Family, and many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 21, 2021 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Sam Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be provided by the American Legion, James Dickey Post 23. A visitation for friends and family will be on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
